How The Subconscious Works

How does the subconscious work? Well, we can illustrate the cumulative power of subconscious as follow:

Suppose you take a tub of water and begin to stir it with a small piece of wood from right to left, with a circular motion.

  • At first, you will start only a ripple around the wood, but if you keep the wood in motion with the circular movement, the water will gradually accumulate the strength which you are putting into the wood, and presently you will have the whole tub of water in a whirl.  TV is showing violence.

  • If you were then to drop the piece of wood, the water would carry along the instrument that originally set it in motion, and if you were suddenly to stop the wood while it is still projecting in the water, there would be a strong tendency to not only carry the wood forward, but to take your hand along with it. TV is showing violence.

  • Now, suppose that after you have the water whirling, you decide that you do not want it to whirl, or think that you would prefer to have it whirl in the other direction, and so try to set it going the other way, you will find that there is great resistance, and you will find that it will take a long while to bring the water to a standstill, and a still longer time before you get it going the other way.

As mentioned in my previous post, the subconscious does not differentiate or judge. Whatever that the conscious continues to entertain will get stocked up and transformed into habit (this is precisely illustrated as above). Whatever your conscious mind does repeatedly or consistently, will be passed on to the subconscious, which after sometimes, a habit is formed. That’s why you will find that you can hardly break a habit, whether it is good or bad. Anyway, a habit is formed when you consistently do the same thing for 21 days. Even your hair will only look nice after 21 days of hair cut and if you don’t believe me, try it out for yourself. Keep a track on this and you will be amazed how this rule works.

If you consciously and consistently entertain thoughts that associated with the good, the abundance and the beautiful, you will find these thoughts take root in your subconscious. This can be easily traced by consciously looking around you; your experiences and environments as they serve as the reflection of the thoughts that the conscious mind has kept on entertained earlier. Whatever the conscious mind processes will later on be passed over to the subconscious, even if you aren’t aware or not willing to do so. This is the way of our mental faculty works, there’s no way to change it.

For example, if you entertain thought of hatred, anger, worrisome, jealous, disease or limitation of any kinds, you will later on find that your conditions reflect the same. The people that you associate with will have the exact same kind of thought and you might even find that your life is filled with limitations of any kinds that you want more.

“You will not be punished for your anger; you will be punished by your anger.”

~ Buddha

It is very crucial to paint this in your mind: “As you sow, so shall you reap.” The law does not err. The whole universe is governed by this great law. Your thought is the seed (cause) and your circumstances are the fruit (effect). Everything that happens around you could be traced back to the deep roof of your mind.

You may think what you will, but the result of your thoughts is always governed by this immutable law of universe. For example, thinking that you are rich will not make you see abundances if most of the time, you keep on focusing on the lack. There is nothing either good or evil, but thinking makes it so.

Lastly, we cannot plant seed of one kind and reap the fruit of another. The roof of anything is found in your subconscious, once you conditioned it to function in such a way, it follows and until you make the unconscious conscious, you’ll call that’s a fate. Brainwaves is a great tool in reprogram your subconscious and help you in geting rid of any bad habits like smoking, achohol, laziness and etc.
